OpSH arrested a suspect and recovered 248 blocks of cannabis estimated to be around 7.5 million naira along Manchok- Jos road in Kaura Local Government Area of Kaduna. The substance was conveyed in a Toyota Camry car with plate number KJA 150 ED.
Similar to this, a retired police officer was caught few days ago with an accomplice conveying 320 blocks of Indian hemp estimated to be around 9.5 million naira. This substance was also allegedly transported in a Toyota camry.
The suspects, a 60 year old retired army personnel, Ex corporal Essien Friday and a 50 year old Ibrahim Alli were both arrested during the stop and search operation. Other items recovered from them include 18 wraps of ready to smoke Indian hemp, 2 smartphone, 3 travelling bags, one lighter and two wallets containing five hundred and seventy naira only.
The suspects and the items are now under the watch of National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, Plateau state command for further investigations.
