Popular Nigerian singer, David Adeleke popularly known as Davido, has revealed he landed in trouble and had to leave the country for supporting the #EndSARS campaign.
Recall that the singer was one of the active voices during the EndSARS campaign in October last year.The singer joined the protest in Abuja and secured the release of #EndSARS protesters who were arrested in the Federal Capital Territory.
Speaking on the downsides that came with his support during a chat on the Daily Show with Trevor Noah, he revealed his active involvement in the campaign landed him in trouble
“I got into a lot of trouble. I had to actually leave the country. It was that bad. I was reposting everything that had to do with the campaign. It was amazing to see people come out like that. And I will say this: they listened to us. They heard us. They might not have changed anything but they were shook.” He said.
