The Divisional Police Officer of Birnin Gwari Division, Sani Mohammed Gyadi-Gyadi, abducted about three months ago, has finally been released.
This followed a sophisticated intelligence-coordinated operation led by the joint security service, as gathered.
Gyadi-Gyadi, kidnapped by terrorists in Kaduna sometime in July this year, regained his freedom after 23 train hostages were set free by their abductors on Wednesday.
The Birnin Gwari Police Chief was taken to a health facility in the Kaduna State for a medical checkup, immediately after his release.
“He is stable, but doctors are monitoring his health condition,” a close relative of Gyadi-Gyadi, a Chief Superintendent of Police says.
Meanwhile, an intelligence source told @wakaati on Wednesday evening that all efforts towards securing the freedom of the Police Officer have been completed.
“While I won’t like to pre-empt the ongoing processes, any moment from now the police officer will be freed from captivity,” the source disclosed to PRNigeria on Wednesday night.
The family of the DPO, it would also be recalled, had appealed to the Federal Government to help secure his release from captivity.
