President, Muhammadu Buhari, has sacked the Sole Administrator of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Effiong Akwa.
The NDDC Boss Effiong Akwa was sacked by the President on Thursday, October 2022 in a letter signed by the Director of Press, Ministry of Niger Delta Affairs, Patricia Deworitshe.
A letter titled:
“NDDC SOLE ADMINISTRATOR RELIEVED OF APPOINTMENT” dated October 20, 2022, and obtained by Newsone Nigeria, says the NDDC Boss Effiong Akwa has been relieved of his post with immediate effect.
“President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the disengagement of the interim administrator of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Mr. Effiong Okon Akwa, from his post with effect from today, 20 October 2022,” the letter signed by the Director of Press, Ministry of Niger Delta Affairs, Patricia Deworitshe, read in part.
The letter confirmed that President Buhari also announced the constitution of a new management team and Governing Board of the NDDC. According to the statement, the Board nominees will be announced later.
