Burna Boy, the well-known Nigerian singer and record producer Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu, cursed his detractors in what appeared to be a New Year’s message.
During his most recent concert in Lagos, the singer spoke out about the rumors that his mother danced for the late Afrobeat musician Fela Anikulapo-Kuti and how he is still performing in the country despite the numerous negative rumors.
In a video that went viral on social media, the singer, who appeared to be hurt by the rumors, cursed his critics and claimed that God would punish anyone who did not love him.
“After you said I killed someone in Cubana, I’m here with you all. My mother danced in front of fela after you said that. No wahala I love you still, that is the reason I’m here. God will punish you if you don’t love me like that.
“National television talk like. I have no idea why you are all still laughing despite the seriousness of the situation. This is my life, and they should kill me for it.
