The posts and media reports that some individuals who went to visit the Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun, on Wednesday, January 18, 2023, represented us have caught the attention of the Senator Buruji Kashamu Political Legacy Group (SBKPLG).
We want to make it clear that those individuals, led by some leader working at OMOILU Foundation, went on their own romp. They do not represent the SBKPLG, Senator Buruji Kashamu, or his family.
The Kashamu political family is alive, politically active as the SBKPLG, and it continues to be a strong pillar of the People’s Democratic Party. It is fully recognized by court judgments, is beloved by Nigerians in general and Ogun State Origin people in particular.
The men who had benefited from Senator Kashamu’s kindness but now seek personal financial and material benefits from Governor Dapo Abiodun should be advised to do so on their own scorecards (if any) and immediately cease attempting to appropriate the legacy of our late father, mentor, leader, and champion, whose interest in politics was the welfare of the masses rather than personal gain. The politically depleted and irrelevant men should be advised to do so on their own scorecards (if any).
Additionally, we would like to take this opportunity to exhort all forthright members, supporters, leaders, and elders of the Kashamu political family (the SBKPLG) to maintain their composure, focus, and unity as we head to the polls on February 25 and March 11, 2023.
Go get your PVCs, please, and let us use them to vote for all PDP candidates.
Thank you and God bless.
