Ogun Couple Murder: Police Re-Arrest Prime Suspect | MarvelTvUpdates

The Ogun State Police have re-arrested the prime suspect in the murder of Ogun Couple on the New year day.

He was said to have been re arrested on Sunday at his hideout at Warewa within the state .

Recall that a couple, Kehinde and Bukola Fatinoye, were murdered on New Year day while their son, Oreoluwa and housemaid were kidnapped.

Oreoluwa was later found drowned in the river while the housemaid escaped with injuries.

Reports are that the housemaid who was detained by the police disclosed that a driver to the couple identified as Lekan was part of those who committed the crime.

We reported that a mild drama ensued when the housemaid was taken to the spot where the drowned son of the deceased was recovered.

At the scene, the bank of the Ogun river, he shouted that he remembered seeing the face of Lekan during the attack . He said he had hinted people at the burial of the late couple.

Lekan was taken into custody as a prime suspect in the murder, but escaped few days after his arrest.

Lekan’s escape had resulted in a tensed atmosphere at the police headquarters with pressures from different angles calling for his swift apprehension and prosecution to justice.

Sources at the police headquarters told our reporter that Lekan has been re-arrested.

He was said to have been tracked to a hideout and was re arrested .

A police source who pleaded anonymity said “the Lekan guy involved in this case has been re-arrested. It was probably the fear of what may happen to him that made him escape. This event may cause a shakeup at the headquarters and the CP may he leaving his office.”

All attempts to get the Ogun Police Public Relations officer to confirm the development proved abortive as at the time of filling this report.
