A former Deputy Governor of Lagos State and chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Femi Pedro, on Monday said Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the presidential flag-bearer of the ruling party for the 2023 election, is “deeply pained” by the impact of Naira scarcity on Nigerians.
Speaking on Channels TV’s The 2023 Verdict, monitored by POLITICS NIGERIA, Pedro said the former Lagos State governor would have done things differently if he had the powers.
The APC Presidential Campaign Council (PCC) member said, “He (Tinubu) feels the pains of Nigerians, particularly the masses, businesses, the housewives, the artisans, the man and woman on the street, what they are going through now. Nobody is happy about it.
“I was with him two days ago. He feels the pain deeply. If he has the power and authority, he would do things differently.
“It pains him that some people will wake up daily and they would not even have money to feed themselves.”
