2023 Elections: Over 1000 Labour Party, NNPP, PDP Members Decamp To APC In Yobe | MarvelTvUpdates

In Yobe State, more than 1,000 members of four parties have defected to the All Progressives Congress.

The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) is one of the parties affected; Party of Labour, or LP; NNPP, or New Nigeria People’s Party; as well as the African Democratic Congress

Governor Mai Mala Buni, accompanied by his Deputy Idi Barde Gubana, greeted the new members of the APC in Potiskum town. He reassured them that they would have the same rights as the current members and emphasized that the APC supports a united Nigeria.

Baba Usman Arlaji, the party’s Zonal Vice Chairman, offered his congratulations to the defectors and promised to include the new members in all of the party’s activities. He also urged members of other political parties to join the APC in order to advance the state.

Sen. Mohammed Hassan, aka Dambu, the Director General of the APC Campaign Council, was also urged by Prof. Bello Kawuwa, the Zonal Director of the Campaign Council, to get their former party colleagues to vote for the APC at all levels of the elections.

Through their leaders, the newcomers claimed that joining the APC would have come at an ideal time.
