After his team held positive talks with club officials in the city, the Qatari Sheikh who wants to buy Manchester United will now make a second bid for the team.
Before sitting down for presentations at United’s Carrington training complex, a high-level team of Sheikh Jassim Bin Hamad Al Thani’s representatives visited Old Trafford.
It is understood that the conversations, which lasted approximately ten hours, were cordial, extensive, and extremely beneficial. As he seeks complete control of United, Sheikh Jassim now has approximately ten days to submit a second bid.
It is still unknown whether the US bank overseeing the process, the Raine Group, will select a party to go exclusive with or seek additional rounds of offers.
Around 10 a.m., “a series of big hitters” descended on Manchester, with many taking the train north from London after their flights. They included Fady Bakhos, the senior personal advisor of the Sheikh, and Shahzad Shahbaz, president of the Nine Two Foundation, which was established by the Sheikh to take over United.
