“Incoming Government Would Be Jeopardised If A Muslim Emerges Senate President” — Primate Ayodele Warns | MarvelTvUpdates

Primate Elijah Ayodele, the leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, has sounded a warning to the incoming government of Bola Tinubu, declaring that it would be at risk if a Muslim is appointed as the Senate President.

We reports that in a statement issued recently by his media office, the Primate made a strong case for the Senate President position to be filled by someone from the Igbo division.

According to Primate Ayodele, failure to appoint an Igbo Senator as the next Senate President could lead to the position being taken up by a Muslim, which could ultimately jeopardize the incoming government. He expressed concern that such a move could lead to political tensions in the country and cautioned against it.

The cleric, who has been vocal about his opposition to the Muslim-Muslim ticket of the ruling party, reiterated his stance against the combination, stating that it goes against God’s will and could result in a national crisis. He therefore called on Igbo lawmakers to unite and support one of their own for the Senate President position.

Primate Ayodele emphasized that it is crucial for the Igbo division to produce the next Senate President in order to avoid being sidelined for years to come.

The statement reads in part: “In all fairness, the Igbos should produce the next senate president; if not, a Muslim will emerge and this will jeopardize the activities of the incoming government. it will also cause political tension and imbalance in the government.’’

‘’Igbo lawmakers need to be united than ever before in order to push one of their own to become the next senate president because if they are unable to make it happen, the region will be sidelined in this incoming government’’

“God doesn’t approve this Muslim-Muslim government, it will still create a lot in the country and will be the worse government so far.’’

“The opposition should form a coalition regarding the House of Representatives speakership position. They need to put the incoming government on its toes and that can only happen if the opposition produces the next House of Representatives speaker. If the ruling party emerges, Nigeria will be in a very difficult situation.”
