Good morning and welcome to our coverage of the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal Proceedings.
Just as we kept you up to date during the General Elections, we are set to give you a blow-by-blow account of happenings at the tribunal where the victory of President-elect Bola Tinubu is being challenged.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had declared the candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) winner of the election.
Tinubu polled a total of 8,794,726 votes to defeat former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who polled a total of 6,984,520 votes and Peter Obi of Labour Party who garnered 6,101,533 votes.
Of the candidates challenging Tinubu’s win, Obi and Atiku are the most popular. The legal battle is on and we also are ready to keep you posted.
Chris Uche, SAN, is the head of Atiku’s legal team while Wole Olanipekun (SAN) is the lead of Tinubu and Levi Uzoukwu is the head of Peter Obi’s team. The trio are all Senior Advocates of Nigeria (SANs).
