The burial ceremony for Pa Gabriel Olanrewaju Oyinlola and Madam Serifat Akinwunmi was held on Saturday, September 17, 2023, at the Shamsudeen Secondary School Field Oke Agbo, Ijebu Igbo, Ogun State.

The church service was attended by family, friends, and well-wishers from all walks of life.

The officiating minister paid tribute to the couple, describing them as “pillars of the community” and “devout Christians.” He said that their lives were “a testament to the power of love and faith.”

The congregation sang hymns and listened to readings from the Bible. The service was followed by a procession to the cemetery, where the husband was laid to rest.

In a statement, Oluomo thanked everyone who had attended the service and expressed their gratitude for the support they had received during this difficult time.

He said, Pa Gabriel Olanrewaju Oyinlola was a retired civil servant who had served in various capacities in the ijebu and environs.

He was also a community leader and a true son of Oke agbo in Ijebu Igbo.

Madam Serifat Akinwunmi was a homemaker and a devoted mother and grandmother. She was also active in her church and several community organizations.

The couple is survived by their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. 

They will be deeply missed by all who know them.

The Business Tycoon, Olumodun Isiah, best known as ‘Oluomo’, the true son of the couple also extends his warm appreciation to all those who graced the occasion and well-wishers abroad. 

He said, “I Olumodan Isiah, thank all those who took the time to grace my late parent’s burial occasion.”

It was also gathered that, due to Oluomo’s bright mind, generosity and philanthropic nature, many people helped make the burial a success.

As dignitaries, attendees take in the seamless event, well-known singer Oyinlomo performs Juju before the event draws the cotton.
