The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has initiated the sale of Direct Entry (DE) forms nationwide and in selected foreign centres.
The registration process for DE candidates began on February 28, 2024, and is set to conclude on March 28, 2024.
The sale is open to local and foreign candidates pursuing tertiary education in Nigeria through Direct Entry.
In a statement released today by its spokesman, Fabian Benjamin, JAMB emphasized that it would not process applications from awarding institutions that have failed to verify A’level certificates presented by candidates for the 2023 admission.
The exam body said candidates not awaiting results must upload their A’level qualifications, O’level results, and DE registration template during registration.
The Board stated that no DE candidate would be processed for admission until the awarding institutions upload and verify the claimed results through the Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS) mail platform.
For Direct Entry candidates awaiting A’level results of IJMB/JUPEB/NABTEB, the Board specified that they must upload their admission letter and registration template during registration.
Applicants with Cambridge certificates of pre-2018 examination years were advised to visit Cambridge directly for verification, which may take up to 28 days.
The Board also provided an opportunity for candidates to upgrade from UTME to DE, with the condition that the DE results have not been released at the time of UTME registration, and the candidate must have indicated during registration that they are awaiting A-level results.
JAMB also reiterated its commitment to ensuring a level playing field for all candidates, irrespective of their status.
