Sokoto South lawmaker, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, has appealed to President Bola Tinubu to listen to the cries of Nigerians amid the harsh socio-economic realities citizens have continued to grapple with.
Speaking during a visit to former president Olusegun Obasanjo in Abeokuta, Tambuwal advised Tinubu to shun excuses and needless blame games.
Reacting to the state of the nation, Tambuwal said Nigerians must continue to pray and do the right thing, including those in government and followers.
“My clarion call is to Mr. President [Tinubu] as the situation is getting bad by the day.
Mr. President should listen to the cries of Nigerians, the country is going through hard times, things have never been this bad,” Tambuwal said.
“But, he sought this job and he got it, so, he needs to rally and make sure that things are put in better shape for the progress of Nigeria.”
The former Sokoto State governor urged Nigerians not to lose hope in the country but support the current administration.
On his visit to Obasanjo, Tambuwal said coming to felicitate with the former president on his birthday has been an annual thing for him.
Tambuwal prayed for good health and more years for former president Obasanjo.
“I came all the way to Abeokuta to come as I always do every year on his birthday. I pray with Baba for more good health, many more years of service to Nigeria and to humanity.
