The death has just been announced of a former Deputy Speaker in the Ogun State House of Assembly Rt Hon Tokunbo Oshin (FICA)
Dr Tokunbo Oshin he is an illustrious son of Ijebu Igbo in Ijebu North local government area of Ogun State and a former Mathematics/Education lecturer at the then Ogun State College of Education, Ijagun where he worked for sixteen years.
He was a fellow of the institute of Credit Administration and an awardee of NICA in Customer Credit Integrity of the year 2016.
Tokunbo ventured into private business in 2008 as a petty petroleum products marketer with the brand name Zipest Ventures Limited, owner of Zipest Filling Stations in Ijebu-Ode, Ijebu-Igbo, Ago Iwoye and until recently at Ibadan.
He represented the South West in the Board of Small & Medium Enterprise Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN) and on some occasions acted as the Board Chairman between 2018 and 2022.
He was at various times member of both Ogun State University (now Olabisi Onabanjo) University and Ogun State College (now Tai Solarin) College of Education Governing Council.
He was an alumnus of May Flower School, Ikenne, Ogun State College of Education and Olabisi Onabanjo University Ago Iwoye.
Until his death he was a Non-Executive Director of Gateway Mortgage Bank Limited.
