In response to internet trolling about a recent testimony, The Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Revival Ministries has emphasized that the church does not fake testimonies.
Head of Public Relations and Media, Pastor Chidi Louis, responded to accusations made public on the internet concerning a church member’s testimony. He clarified that a widely circulated video, which appeared to show a member claiming to have taken custody of a “AK-27” and disarmed four armed robbers, was a fabrication.
Louis declared, “For a deeper understanding, Nigerians should visit our church platform to listen to the entire testimony and ignore the phony film. The woman’s account was based on a dream, not actual events.
He warned, “Don’t believe everything you see on the internet. Bloggers often edit content to ridicule the work of God. Most of these bloggers are wicked and devilish.”
The church’s media department also denounced the clip as fake on its platform and urged the public to disregard it. The full clip of the lady’s testimony was released on the church’s TikTok handle, clarifying that her story was a dream.
The controversy stemmed from a viral video where a woman testified about defeating four armed robbers and collecting a pistol, which she called an “AK 27.” A pastor corrected her, stating it was an AK 47.”
Testimonies from members of the Lord Chosen Church have caused a stir on social media, with many questioning their authenticity.
The viral videos feature accounts that some find difficult to believe, leading to speculation that they might be scripted.
One member claimed to have been rescued by a lion that carried him like an airplane, showed him the way out, and then said “bye bye.”
Another testified that when cultists attacked him and attempted to split his head with a cutlass, it made a “Ko” sound but did not penetrate.
Another dramatic story came from a man who said he was shot multiple times by kidnappers with an AK-47, but the bullets didn’t penetrate.
Frustrated, the kidnappers reportedly released him after he declared, “I am a Chosen.”
These stories suggest that simply declaring “I am a Chosen” grants supernatural protection against threats.
