Ijebu Ode, Ogun State – A cunning fraudster has left a trail of deceit in Ijebu Ode, swindling a local female business owner out of ₦60,000.
On 18th of September, the suspect walked into a store along Molipa Expressway, posing as a customer seeking school kits for 8-10-year-old students. After collecting the items, he sent a fake payment alert and vanished.
The victim, who wishes to remain anonymous, reported the incident to the police. Investigations revealed that the suspect had committed a similar fraud at a local hotel.
Despite efforts to contact him, the suspect has remained unreachable.
This incident serves as a cautionary tale for business owners to remain vigilant against fraudulent activities.
