
Ijebu Igbo. In a bid to boost economic development and project Ijebu North as an emerging business hub, the Ijebu North Youth Award, in partnership with the New Generation Foundation, successfully hosted a business competition for entrepreneurs in the region.
“Today, the event was held at the Rolatex Hotel hall, located at Oke Sopen in Ijebu Igbo”.
“The event, which took place over three days, featured a rigorous training and screening process, culminating in seven business owners pitching their businesses for a chance to receive soft grants and investments”.

“A total of six entrepreneurs benefited from the competition, with five receiving ₦100,000 soft grants to scale their businesses and one securing a life-changing investment to fuel their growth”.
“The event was attended by notable dignitaries, including Senator Adegbenga Kaka, INLG Chair, Hon. Bolaji Odusanya, Dr. Bosun Ogundipe (represented by managing director evolution group of company), Vice Chairman INLG, Prince Adesegun Oluyemi Adeland, Hon Sojirn the Local Government secretary, Mr Bayo Ogunbanjo the former Managing Director of Molusi Microfinance Bank, among others, demonstrating the support and commitment of local leaders to empowering entrepreneurs”.
“Furthermore, the event aimed to support local businesses, promote economic development, and project Ijebu North as an emerging business hub, aligning with the organization’s mission to foster growth and prosperity in the region”.

He expressed gratitude to the dignitaries, sponsors, and supporters, acknowledging their role in making the event a success. The chairman also announced plans for a second edition of the competition, promising it would be even more massive and impactful, further solidifying the organization’s commitment to empowering local entrepreneurs”.
