2025 Orimolusi Football Cup: Organizers Hold Strategic Meeting with Bobaselu of Ijebu Igbo

Members of the Organizing Committee of the Orimolusi Football Cup Competition today met with the Bobaselu of Ijebu Igbo Kingdom, Otunba Toyin Odueyungbo.

The meeting which was centered at making adequate preparation for the event which is scheduled to kick start by Saturday, April 26th, 2025.

In his welcome speech the Bobaselu of Ijebu Igbo Kingdom appreciate the committee for their commitment towards the competition and also sue for peace among the youth in Ijebu Igbo.

The High Chief advised the members of the committee to see themselves as ambassador for the event and look beyond the competition and focus on the scouting part which is aimed at kickstarting the prestigious Ijebu Igbo Football Academy.

He further implored the committee members to make sure that the safety of everyone in the course of the competition is their priority.

In his remarks, the head of the Management department of the Committee, Com. Senbadejo Olawale gave a comprehensive review of the activities done by the committee so far, and also informed him that plan is on the way to visit all the Kabiyesis, so as to create a good synergy with them and also keep them abreast of the development. He confirmed that Fresh FM will be broadcasting the games as planned.

Mr. Agoro, the Technical Director also used the medium to assure the Sponsor that the days of unrest at football field in Ijebu Igbo is gone. He assure him that youths in Ijebu Igbo will enjoy themselves in the course of the competition.

This year competition as stated by Bobaselu, is co-sponsored with the Maiyegun of Ijebu Igbo Kingdom, Otunba (Dr) Babatunde Rowaiye.

Present at the meeting were Com. Shittu Adedigba (Oke Sopen), Com. Coker Ademola(Atikori), Com. Ayinde Mufutau (Ojowo), Mr. Sodimu E. (Technical Adviser) and Com. Jaiyesimi Oluwasesam J (Oke Agbo)
