Popular entertainer and social media influencer, Tunde Ednut, has expressed frustration over the worsening economic situation in Nigeria despite the removal of fuel subsidy by Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration.
In a post shared with his Instagram handle, Tunde Ednut questioned the benefit of the controversial policy, arguing that it has brought more hardship rather than relief.
“You removed subsidy, and people are suffering even more now. Yet, you’ve borrowed far more than Buhari, who didn’t remove subsidy, and life was still better under his administration. So what was the point of removing the subsidy?” he wrote.
He also took a swipe at government officials and supporters who continue to defend the administration’s actions by asking Nigerians to be patient.
“If we talk now, they will say relax, this is just the suffering period, Nigerians will enjoy soon. When is soon?” he added.
