Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s 2023 presidential candidate, is visiting Olubadan designate, Oba Rashidi Ladoja, at his Bodija residence in Ibadan, Oyo State.
Obi says his visit is to congratulate Ladoja on becoming the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland.
“This visit is about Nigeria and promoting selfless leadership”, Obi said
He notes that Ladoja will bring his extensive experience to the role.
In response, Oba Ladoja describes his appointment as an opportunity to serve.
“Many people mistakenly view the throne as a position of glamour”, he said
That time is over. Today, it is about service and what you can contribute to the people,” he added.
