Ijebu-Igbo, Ogun State – The newly installed Babaloja of Ijebu-Igbo, Chief Moshood Sefiu Roseli (Jagaban), on Monday received the Area Commander of the Ijebu Division, ACP Yusuf A. Wasiu, during a courtesy visit to his office at Obada Market.
The visit, which drew together several Olojas (market heads) and community leaders, was anchored by popular media analyst, Owoseni Ridwan Kakaki, who warmly welcomed guests and emphasized the importance of peaceful collaboration.
In his remarks, ACP Yusuf expressed gratitude to Chief Roseli and the market leadership for the warm reception. He congratulated the new Babaloja on his appointment and called for peace, love, and unity among all stakeholders. He further assured that under his leadership, the police division would work closely with market leaders to strengthen security, ensure orderliness, and promote development in Ijebu-Igbo.
ACP Yusuf also promised to meet with other parties involved in ongoing matters, pledging to resolve all issues in line with God’s will and for the progress of the community.
The PRO of the Police Service Relations Committee (PSRC), Dr. Hassan, alongside his team, also congratulated Chief Roseli and urged continuous collaboration to move the market to greater heights.
Adding her voice, the Iyalaje of Ijebu-Igbo, Chief Mrs. Bamiro (Iya Sogo), prayed for the Area Commander’s success in office and encouraged market women and traders to embrace unity, peace, and mutual respect.
Other market chiefs and leaders in attendance equally applauded the courtesy visit, describing it as a positive step toward building stronger ties between the police and the market community. They congratulated Chief Roseli and pledged their support for his leadership.
The meeting ended with closing remarks, expressions of gratitude, and prayers for peace, unity, and prosperity in Ijebu-Igbo.
