The lawmaker attended the event to receive a plaque recognising him as Best Performing Senator of the Year, smiling beside Laila despite the storm surrounding his home.
In his acceptance message, Nwoko dedicated the honour to the people of Anioma and Delta North, saying the award symbolised purposeful leadership and a continuation of the dream of Sir Dennis Osadebay for Anioma State.
