The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has attributed the growing rate of cybercrime in Nigeria to what it described as “laziness” and “greed” among the country’s youths.
According to the Commission, many young Nigerians have abandoned hard work and perseverance in pursuit of quick wealth through internet fraud, a trend it warned is destroying lives and reputations.
EFCC Chairman, Ola Olukoyede, urged young people nationwide to embrace integrity, discipline, and ethical values, noting that true success comes from dedication, not deceit.
