Christian Genocide: Fresh Attack on Anwule Community in Benue Leaves Several Dead, Including Children — Report

A deadly attack is reportedly ongoing in Anwule, Ohimini Local Government Area of Benue State, leaving several residents, including children, dead.
According to a distress post shared by Preach The Gospel Ministry on X (formerly Twitter), gunmen invaded the community, killing innocent villagers in what appears to be a renewed wave of violence targeting Christians.
The horrifying pictures show lifeless bodies — including children — lying in pools of blood inside their homes and on the grass.
“Look at how these children were massacred. Oh Lord, have mercy. For how long can we continue like this? Everyday innocent souls are being massacred for their faith in Christ Jesus,” the ministry lamented, sharing disturbing images of victims.
Local sources say the attackers stormed the area late in the night, shooting indiscriminately and setting houses ablaze. The casualty figure remains unclear as of press time, but eyewitnesses describe the scene as “pure horror.”
Authorities are yet to officially comment on the attack, but residents are calling for immediate security intervention to prevent further loss of life.
Benue, often referred to as Nigeria’s “Food Basket,” has witnessed recurring assaults by armed groups, leaving hundreds dead and thousands displaced in recent years.
