Fidipote Ruling House Linked to K1 Wasiu Ayinde Moves to Claim Awujale Throne

The Fidipote Ruling House has declared that it is now their legal turn to present candidates for the Awujale of Ijebu-Ode, explaining that the previous ruling house failed to submit any candidate within the 14-day period required by law.
As a result, and in line with the Ogun State Chieftaincy Law (2021) and the Awujale Chieftaincy Declaration of 1959, the right has shifted to the Fidipote Ruling House.
The Fidipote Royal Family has officially notified the government and relevant authorities of this development and has scheduled a general family meeting to receive expressions of interest from qualified family members, screen eligible candidates, and vote to select candidate(s) to be forwarded to the kingmakers.
The meeting is scheduled for Saturday, 20 December 2025, at 10:00am, and will hold at the Fidipote Royal Hall, Idewon Quarters, Ijebu-Ode.
The family has assured that the entire process will be peaceful, transparent, and conducted strictly according to the law.
