The Ogun State Ministry of Education, Science and Technology has announced that all schools across the state will resume for the Second Term of the 2025/2026 academic session on Monday, January 5, 2026.
According to a press release issued by the Office of the Honourable Commissioner, the resumption applies to all public and private primary and secondary schools, as well as government technical colleges in Ogun State. The decision is in line with the approved Ogun State academic calendar for the 2025/2026 session.
The ministry stated that academic activities are expected to commence immediately upon resumption, urging school administrators to ensure full compliance with the directive. Parents and guardians have also been advised to adequately prepare their wards ahead of the new term.
The statement was signed by the Honourable Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Prof. Abayomi A. Arigbabu, and dated December 31, 2025.
The ministry reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining a smooth and effective academic calendar across the state’s education sector.
