The Fecund Empire Foundation has made a landmark impact in the ancient town of Odosubugbawa Ayayo during the annual Ayayo Festival, delivering a holistic community empowerment initiative that strengthened education, improved access to clean energy, supported agriculture, and preserved cultural heritage.
The outreach was led by the Founder and Chairman, Olalekan Simon Oluwole, alongside Ayodeji Ipaye, Co-Founder and Executive Director of the Foundation. Together, they extended direct support to children, farmers, and cultural stakeholders in the community as part of the Foundation’s commitment to sustainable grassroots development.
Full Sponsorship of the Ayayo Annual Festival (Ẹ̀pò & Agẹ̀rẹ̀)
In a historic move, the Fecund Empire Foundation fully sponsored the Ayayo Annual Festival, including the traditional Ẹ̀pò and Agẹ̀rẹ̀ celebrations, ensuring the successful preservation and celebration of Odosubugbawa’s rich cultural heritage.
The Foundation provided adequate food, drinks, and logistics for the entire festival, creating an atmosphere of unity, abundance, and pride. In addition, cash gifts were presented to performers and cultural participants who entertained the community, recognizing their role in keeping indigenous traditions alive.
The sponsorship revitalized the festival in a way not seen in over a decade. Community leaders confirmed that diaspora return to Odosubugbawa exceeded expectations, with indigenes travelling home from across Nigeria and abroad including visitors from Brazil, a level of homecoming not recorded in nearly 10 years.
The town witnessed a rare convergence of indigenous residents and international visitors, transforming the festival into a symbol of cultural reconnection, heritage preservation, and global community bonding.
Education and Youth Support
As part of the empowerment drive, the Foundation donated exercise textbooks to children across Odosubugbawa, reaffirming its belief that education remains the bedrock of long-term development. The initiative was warmly received by pupils, parents, teachers, and community members.
Clean Energy for Community Use
Addressing energy challenges, the Foundation installed and donated a multi-socket solar charging system, providing safe and reliable power for charging mobile phones and small electronic devices. The facility was officially commissioned by the community leader, symbolizing local ownership and sustainability.
Agricultural Empowerment
Recognizing agriculture as the backbone of the local economy, the Foundation disbursed N25,000 each to farmers across the community to support farm inputs, ease operational challenges, and improve productivity amid rising economic pressures.
A Lasting Commitment
Speaking during the outreach, Mr. Olalekan Simon Oluwole, a proud son of Odosubugbawa emphasized that the initiative was not a one-time gesture but part of a long-term commitment to empowering communities through education, clean energy, agriculture, and cultural preservation.
“When we invest in our culture, our children, and our farmers, we invest in the future of our people. Odosubugbawa is home, and its heritage must not be lost,” he said.
Community leaders and residents expressed profound appreciation to the Foundation, describing the intervention as transformative and rare, an example of leadership that understands local needs and responds with dignity, respect, and practical solutions.
The Odosubugbawa Ayayo initiative further cements the Fecund Empire Foundation’s growing reputation as a development-driven organization committed to education, clean energy, agriculture, cultural heritage, and diaspora reconnection, translating vision into measurable community impact.
