Molusi College recorded a significant milestone with the official dedication of a newly renovated block of ten (10) students’ toilet facilities, made possible through the combined efforts of the Molusi College Old Students’ Association (MOCOSA) Global, Heirs Insurance Group, and other supportive stakeholders.
At the centre of this impactful project is Miss Hassan Abiola Oyindamola, a Business Studies teacher at Molusi College Junior, whose vision, commitment, and selfless leadership brought the long-abandoned facility back to life.
Miss Oyindamola, the Winner of the 2025 Heirs Insurance Teacher’s Prize, secured a N500,000 school project grant, which served as the foundation for the renovation project.
Her initiative underscores the role of teachers as change-makers who go beyond classroom instruction to improve students’ welfare, dignity, and learning conditions.
The Molusi College community expressed deep appreciation to MOCOSA Global for its strong financial and moral support, which ensured the successful execution of the project.
The association’s intervention reaffirmed its long-standing commitment to the development and well-being of the institution.
Special recognition was accorded to the Global President of MOCOSA, Ven. Dr. Bayo Odeniyi, for his fatherly guidance, personal involvement, and unwavering support from the planning stage to the dedication ceremony. His leadership played a crucial role in translating the vision into a lasting legacy for the school.
Gratitude was also extended to Heirs Insurance Group and its Founder, Mr. Tony Elumelu, for instituting the Teacher’s Prize initiative, which empowers educators to identify real challenges within their schools and implement sustainable solutions.
The project further benefited from the generosity of an engineer from the Marine Institute, who donated building materials that significantly supported the completion of the renovation.
The upgraded facility now consists of ten modern toilet units, complemented by a concrete water tank, greatly enhancing hygiene and sanitation for students.
Students, teachers, and staff of Molusi College were also commended for their patience, cooperation, and encouragement throughout the project period. Mentors and advisors who provided guidance were equally appreciated for their invaluable contributions.
The dedication ceremony was marked with thanksgiving and reflection, as stakeholders emphasized that the project represents more than infrastructure, it is a symbol of collaboration, compassion, and shared responsibility in education.
With this development, Molusi College has strengthened its learning environment and reaffirmed the belief that quality education includes care, dignity, and safe facilities for every learner.
