Ahead of his conferment ceremony and official installation as the Oluomo of Ijebu Igbo on February 5, 2026, Alhaji Chief Lawal Abiodun Olawale Abinugbola has supported students with educational materials across the town.
MarvelTvUpdates reports that the Oluomo of Ijebu Igbo distributed over 3,000 notebooks to students in selected public secondary schools in Ijebu Igbo. The outreach programme took place over two days, from Thursday, January 29 to Friday, January 30, 2026.
The schools visited include Shamsudeen Grammar School, Japara High School, Olokine Comprehensive High School, Keegbo Comprehensive High School, Ijebu Igbo Girls’ Grammar School, Molusi College, Abusi Edumare Academy and Beje High School.
Speaking during the exercise, one of his aides, said the donation shows Alhaji Chief Abinugbola’s strong passion for education and the development of young people.
He explained that the notebooks were provided to help students in their studies and to encourage them to take their education seriously.
“This support is our own way of giving back to the students. The Oluomo of Ijebu Igbo believes strongly in education and cares deeply about the future of our children,” he said.
He also encouraged the students to make good use of the notebooks, adding that more educational support programs would follow in the future.
Students who benefited from the gesture thanked Alhaji Chief Lawal for the kind donation and prayed for a successful and peaceful installation ceremony.
