Born in Oke Agbo, Ijebu Igbo to the family of Alhaji Lawal and Alhaja Olorunbunmi Bello. Alhaji Chief Abiodun Lawal Abinugbola was raised on strong values of hard work, humility, compassion and discipline. His academic journey began at Shamsudeen Primary School and later Shamsudeen Grammar School, where he built a solid moral and educational foundation. He proceeded to Abraham Adesanya Polytechnic (AAP), Ijebu Igbo, to study Accounting. During his time at AAP, his leadership capacity stood out as he served as Students’ Union Government (SUG) President, a role that shaped his organisational strength and commitment to collective progress.
Furthering his education, he earned a degree in Business Administration from Babcock University and later obtained a Master’s degree in Public Administration from Olabisi Onabanjo University (OOU), combining private-sector expertise with public-sector insight.
Alhaji Chief Lawal Abinugbola is the Chief Executive Officer of Abinugbola Enterprise and Swift Supermarket, business ventures that have grown into reputable brands known for quality service, integrity and job creation. A strategic entrepreneur, he also ventured into the cow hide & skin (ponmo) business over eight years ago, steadily expanding his commercial footprint. Today, he owns three supermarkets strategically located within the Ijebu axis, contributing significantly to local commerce and encouraging investment within the community.
A deeply devoted Muslim, Alhaji Chief Abiodun Lawal has performed the Hajj more than five times and undertaken approximately seven Umrah pilgrimages, reflecting strong spiritual discipline. In recognition of his religious commitment, he holds respected faith titles including Seriki Adinni of Ijebu Land, Agbesinga Adinni of Ijebu Igbo, and Agbesinga Adinni of Oke Agbo.

On the home front, he is happily married to Mrs. Nofisat Alison and is blessed with three children. He is widely regarded as a devoted family man who values unity, discipline and love.
Beyond business, Alhaji Chief Lawal is renowned for his philanthropic impact, especially in empowering market women and youths. He has provided financial support, start-up capital and business assistance aimed at poverty reduction and economic independence. His initiatives have helped many families regain stability and dignity.

He has also sponsored numerous Muslims and Christians on holy pilgrimages, promoted interfaith harmony, and consistently hosted annual Ramadan Iftar programmes that cater to over 3,000 individuals, strengthening communal bonds in Ijebu Igbo. His contributions also extend to traditional institutions, including support for the beautification and enhancement of the Orimolusi Palace, reflecting deep respect for culture and heritage.
In recognition of his selfless service and commitment to societal development, Alhaji Chief Abiodun Olawale Lawal was conferred with the prestigious traditional title of Oluomo of Ijebu Igbo Kingdom by His Royal Majesty, Oba Lawrence Jaiyeoba Adebajo (Ojuromi VI), the Orimolusi of Ijebu Igbo. His official installation ceremony was grandly celebrated on February 5, 2026, at the Orimolusi Palace in Ijebu Igbo, in the presence of royalty and countless dignitaries from across Nigeria. The historic occasion was further enlivened by captivating musical performances from Fuji maestro, King Wasiu Ayinde, Apala music legend, Musiliu Haruna Ishola, and popular chanter Remi Chanter, as guests were treated to an unforgettable display of rhythm, culture and celebration. The atmosphere reflected an outpouring of joy, with Ijebu Igbo experiencing an evening of unlimited music, merriment and cultural pride.
