Baba Imam of Ibadanland Denies Link to ‘Denderu Robitoh’ and League of Imams Group

The Office of the Grand Mufty of Yorubaland has issued a public disclaimer stating that the Baba Imam of Ibadanland, Sheikh Abdul Ganiy Abubakri Agbotomokekere, has no connection with the group known as “Denderu Robitoh.”
In a statement released to the Muslim community, the office made it clear that the Baba Imam did not send any representative and has no knowledge of the group.
The statement also clarified that the Grand Chief Imam of Ibadanland did not attend, support, approve, or send anyone to represent him at the inauguration of the group called the “League of Imams and Alfas of Yorubaland, Edo and Delta.”
According to the release, any news, claim, or rumor suggesting that the Baba Imam or the Grand Chief Imam of Ibadanland is involved with these groups is false and misleading. The public has been advised to disregard such information.
The statement was issued by Sheikh Qasim Abdullateef Badejo on behalf of the Office of the Grand Mufty of Yorubaland, with prayers for unity and guidance among Muslims.
