The entire Ijebu Igbo Kingdom is in a joyful mood as His Royal Majesty, Orimolusi of Ijebu Igbo, Oba Jaiyeoba Lawrence Adebajo OJUROMI VI, marks four years on the throne.
February 23 remains a historic date in the annals of Ijebu Igbo, as it commemorates the monarch’s coronation, which officially brought to an end the twenty-eight years interregnum in the ancient kingdom. His ascension to the throne signaled a new dawn of unity, stability, and progressive leadership for the people.
Over the past four years, Kabiyesi’s reign has been widely described as purposeful and impactful. His leadership style, marked by wisdom, humility, and inclusiveness, has fostered unity of purpose among sons and daughters of Ijebu Igbo at home and in the diaspora. Under his watch, traditional institutions have continued to command respect while development-focused engagements have strengthened communal harmony.
Community leaders and stakeholders have consistently acknowledged the monarch’s dedication to peace, youth development, and the preservation of cultural heritage within the kingdom.
