An Ijebu-Igbo grassroots politician and philanthropist, Hon. Ogunyemi Adeniyi Olamilekan, popularly known as Neyo International (The Phone Doctor), has expressed his intention to contest for a seat in the Ogun State House of Assembly, saying his decision is driven by a strong desire to serve his community.
Hon. Ogunyemi, who is the founder of Divine Favour Relief Foundation, is from the family of Yekini Ogunyemi, popularly known as Orolufe, located behind the Central Mosque area of Oke Jaga, Oke Sopen Ijebu Igbo.
Speaking about his political ambition, Ogunyemi said his passion for community development and grassroots service inspired him to seek public office.
According to him, he believes he can make a positive impact in the lives of his constituents by addressing key issues such as education, healthcare, youth development and infrastructure.
“As a grassroots politician, I understand the needs of my people because I live among them. I know what our constituency lacks and I believe I can represent them well,” he said.
Education and Leadership Background
Hon. Ogunyemi attended Molusi College for his secondary school education. He later studied Accounting at Abraham Adesanya Polytechnic, where he obtained his National Diploma (ND) and is currently pursuing his Higher National Diploma (HND).
He explained that his accounting background has helped him develop financial management skills, which he uses in managing his business and mentoring over 20 apprentices under his supervision.
Community Service and Leadership Roles
Over the years, Hon. Adeniyi has held several leadership positions within professional and religious organizations.
He once served as State Financial Secretary of the Computer Telecommunication Technicians Association of Ogun State (COMTEAN). He also currently serves as the Church Secretary of Ore-Ofe Baptist Church and works as Special Assistant on Youth and Sports Development to the Ijebu North Local Government.
He noted that these leadership roles have helped him develop administrative and community engagement skills needed for public service.
Philanthropic Projects
Through his Divine Favour Relief Foundation, Ogunyemi has carried out several humanitarian and development projects in Ijebu-Igbo.
One of the foundation’s major projects is the installation of 10 solar-powered streetlights from the Ijebu-Igbo Club area down to Ansar-Ud-Deen, Ododoroye axis, Topon Village in Oke Sopen, aimed at improving security and visibility in the community.
The foundation has also supported students by distributing school notebooks across several schools in the town.
Educational Support for Schools
In its latest educational outreach, the foundation provided learning materials to students in several secondary schools in Ijebu-Igbo.

• Olokine High School
• Ladugbo Secondary School
• Keegbo Secondary School
• Samsudeen Secondary School
According to the foundation, the initiative is part of its commitment to youth empowerment and educational support.
Commitment to Community Development
The Divine Favour Relief Foundation is a non-profit organization focused on humanitarian support, youth empowerment, and educational development.
The foundation also distributed Christmas palliatives to elderly people and provided food packages to community members to support families during the festive season.
Founded by Hon. Adeniyi Ogunyemi, the foundation continues to impact lives across Ijebu-Igbo, providing assistance to students, communities, and vulnerable groups.
As he prepares for the political journey ahead, Hon. Adeniyi Ogunyemi says his goal is to bring practical grassroots solutions and stronger representation to his constituency.
