For the first time in forever, South Africans and Nigerians got to bond in one house for the sole purpose of winning a grand prize of $100,000. With Big Brother Titans, 20 housemates from different backgrounds learnt about each other’s history, culture, music, and food while bonding in ways most contestants would not experience in a long time.
These 20 contestants showed us what tolerance means while playing their game without bias toward their other contestants.
Although there were cultural differences, they overcame it to the finale, which is a perfect blend of South Africans and Nigerians.
With two male contestants and four female contestants jostling to become the ultimate titan, here is all you need to know about them.
Khosi
The night Khosi made it to the house, she made headlines as her conversation with her then-love interest Yemi Cregx sparked some controversy.
Since then, she has always been the centre of attention as she has topped Netng’s BBTitans Most Talked About Housemates Chart for weeks.
But beyond the controversy, who is Khosi?
Makhosazane ‘Khosi’ Twala is a 25-year-old South African journalist and fitness enthusiast.
The content creator, born in Newcastle, Kwazulu-Natal, with her platforms, has shared fitness tips while endorsing sportswear brands because of her love for fitness. She studied Journalism at the University of Free State in 2016 and earned her postgraduate degree in 2021 at the University of Johannesburg.
For years, she has competed in fitness and beauty competitions, including the Miss Free State South Africa 2017, Biogen Face of Fitness 2020, and Miss Regal International South Africa 2021.
She is the only BBTitans housemate up for eviction from the first week.
Kanaga Jnr
For people who watch the show, everyone knows that Kanaga Jnr is an all-round creative who sees every opportunity as a platform to showcase his skills and competence. Kanaga Emmanuel Eme is an actor, model, and fashion enthusiast.
The 23-year-old actor, who hails from Abia State, Nigeria, has featured in highly acclaimed Nollywood films before his emergence into the spotlight.
He featured in shows like Jenifa’s Diary and Netflix’s Far From. He is also set to be one of the actors who gets to play a lead role in MTV Shuga Naija Season 5.
Aside from his passion for acting, he has shown promise as a special effect makeup artist as on many occasions he had made use of these skills to entertain the housemates as well as help their delivery with tasks.
Ebubu
If you are a music enthusiast, the chances that you have probably seen Ebubu in a music video with top stars in Nigeria is very likely.
Ebuka Chukwu has featured in several music videos, including BNXN feat. Zinoleesky – Kilometer (remix), Kizz Daniel – Jaho, Masterkraft feat. Chike – Hosanna and Wizkid feat. Blaq Jerzee – Blow, among others.
The 28-year-old model and actor has used his experience and knowledge from his Theatre Arts degree from the Lagos State University (LASU) to earn himself a space in the music industry. Ebubu is from Anambra State.
Tsatsii
Tsatsii is the quiet yet calculative queen of the season. Although most people would not agree with her methods, in her time in the house she made sure to make enough strategic partnerships that she was never put up for nominations.
When she was eventually up, she had gained enough momentum to stay in the house and earned her place in the finals.
BBTitans aside, Motsatsii Wendy Madiba is a 24-year-old engineering student from South Africa. She was born in Pretoria.
Yvonne
Like Tsatsii, Yvonne built her fan base over time until she became an unstoppable force.
The digital content creator and model who has always been a fan of the Big Brother franchise hails from Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria.
The reality TV star before BBTitans created lifestyle content, and she was cast as a leading lady in the visuals to Phyno’s rap single ‘Never’, which was directed by TG Omori.
Ipeleng
It’s the season for the underdogs. When Ipeleng came on stage during the premiere her beauty earned her a host of fans which she gradually lost over time.
However, with her competitive nature and resilience, she earned herself a space in the BBTitans finale.
The Law student from the University of South Africa is a 25-year-old content creator born in Dikebu, Northwest South Africa.
With her passion for broadcasting, she created a YouTube channel that now has over 17.8k subscribers where she shares her skincare hacks and lifestyle content.
