Veteran Nollywood actor Tajudeen Oyewole, better known as Abija, has joined the list of veteran thespians who have publicly sought financial assistance in recent times.
Recall that actors such as Iya Gbonkan, Lalude, and Alapini Osha have recently been gifted cars after publicly soliciting help from their fans.
Joining his colleagues in this development, Abija reached out to a popular skit maker, Creative Kamo, who has been instrumental in raising funds to secure cars for some veteran actors.
In the heartfelt video posted on Creative Kamo’s Facebook page, Abija described going to movie locations without his own personal car as embarrassing, adding that it affects his confidence and self-esteem.
He revealed that although he has been gifted a car through donations initiated by actor Jigan Baba Oja in the past, but the current condition of the car is nothing to write home about.
He, however, appealed to his fans and lovers of his movies to come to his aid so that he can get a car of his own for easy transportation to film locations.
He also showered prayers on the skit maker and all his fans who will be contributing to the actualization of his dream of getting a car.
On his part, Kamo called for continuous support from the general public for the veteran actors, adding that many of them are in a critical state of financial assistance.
This comes a few days after popular Nollywood actress Jaiye Kuti slammed veteran Nollywood actors for publicly seeking help, describing the acts as being embarrassing to her and her colleagues in the Yoruba segment of the Nollywood industry.
