Vice President, Kashim Shettima Leaves Abuja, To Spend 7days In Dubai, Saudi Arabia | MarvelTvUpdates

Nigeria’s Vice President Kashim Shettima on Friday, December 13, departed Abuja for the United Arab Emirates.

A statement by Stanley Nkwocha, the media aide to the vice president said his principal would be representing the Bola Tinubu at the commissioning and naming of a $315 million oil production and storage facility in Dubai.

A fully Nigerian-owned oil and gas company, the new facility has been billed for commissioning on Saturday, December 14.

The facility was also acquired by Oriental Energy.

Subsequently, after the event, the vice president would proceed to Saudi Arabia where he would perform the Lesser Hajj (Umrah) between December 16 and 19, 2024.

Nkwocha added, “On December 20, Vice President Shettima is also scheduled to hold a bilateral meeting with the President of the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) in Jeddah.

“Discussions will focus on co-financing arrangements for the Special Agro-Industrial Processing Zones (SAPZ Phase II) and enhanced coordination of IsDB projects in Nigeria, aimed at bolstering the nation’s agricultural and economic development,” be said.

Shettima is due to return to Nigeria on or before December 21, Nkwocha noted.
