The Olubadan-In-Council has officially nominated Oba Rashidi Ladoja as the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland. The decision was reached during a meeting held on Monday at the Olubadan Palace, Oke-Aremo, located in the Ibadan North Local Government Area of Oyo State.
Although Oba Ladoja was absent from the meeting, the nomination was confirmed by the Balogun of Ibadanland, Oba Tajudeen Ajibola, who presided over the session.
“We, the members of the Olubadan-In-Council, have all signed and nominated Oba Rashidi Ladoja as the new Olubadan of Ibadanland,” Ajibola stated.
He added that the council’s resolution would be forwarded to Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde, who will then announce a date for the official presentation of the Staff of Office.
The ceremony is not expected to hold this week due to the funeral rites of the late Olubadan, Oba Owolabi Olakulehin, who passed away on July 7, 2025.
