The Computer Telecommunications Technicians Engineers Association (COMPTEAN), Ijebu-Igbo Unit celebrated its 10th anniversary in a colorful event held at M’Royal Event Centre, Agbowa Area, Oke Sopen, Ijebu-Igbo.
The celebration was anchored by the sensational MC Jazzy, who kept the atmosphere lively and seamlessly introduced the distinguished guests in attendance.
In his welcome address, Comrade Adepitan Segun Babatunde, Chairman of the Ijebu-North Unit, expressed gratitude to the unit’s executives and members for their cooperation and support, while appreciating everyone who came to celebrate the milestone.
Comrade Ademuyiwa Timothy, State Chairman of COMPTEAN, delivered a laudable speech, noting that Ijebu-Igbo Unit boasts the highest membership across Ogun State. He congratulated the chairman and members for their growth and achievements, and was honored with an award. He also called for greater unity, prayed for the association’s continued expansion, and thanked other branches and the state council for their support.
The association’s Chief Adviser, Alhaji T. K. Balogun, shared words of wisdom, urging members to uphold the association’s good image. He expressed pride in their accomplishments and thanked them for honoring him.
Highlights of the event included the presentation of certificates to awardees, cash prizes for winners of the association’s football competition — Oke Sopen Unit emerged first, Ojowo Unit took second place, and Oke Agbo came third as well as gifts to the five most punctual members of the Ijebu-Igbo Unit.
Oluwafemi Gog Master and his band delivered a thrilling performance that lit up the event and made it colorful.
The celebration concluded with the cutting of the anniversary cake, closing remarks, and a prayer.
