United Nigeria Airlines has confirmed that an altercation broke out between two well-known social media personalities Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan, and Freedom Okpetoritse Atsepoyi, widely called Mr. Jollof during the boarding of Flight UN0523 at Asaba International Airport on Monday morning.
In a statement released by the airline’s spokesperson, Chibuike Uloka, both passengers were immediately deboarded and handed over to airport security for further investigation.
The airline noted that the action followed established aviation safety procedures designed to ensure the protection of other passengers and crew members.
“United Nigeria Airlines confirms that an altercation occurred between two passengers, identified as Martins Vincent Otse ‘VeryDarkman’ and Freedom Okpetoritse Atsepoyi ‘Mr. Jollof’, during the boarding of Flight UN0523 at Asaba International Airport on the morning of 17 November 2025,” the statement said.
It added that crew members acted swiftly and professionally to de-escalate the situation in line with global aviation standards.
According to the airline, “Both passengers were deboarded without delay to ensure the safety, comfort, and security of all other passengers and crew members.

They were subsequently handed over to airport security for further investigation.” It reiterated its zero-tolerance policy for conduct that threatens onboard safety.
The flight later departed safely while the two men remained with authorities.
United Nigeria Airlines further assured the traveling public of its commitment to maintaining a safe, respectful, and secure environment across its entire network.
