High Royal Highness, Alayeluwa Oba Dr. Mufutau Adesesan Yusuf, FAAC, FCIML, FICP, the Sopen Lukale of Oke Sopen Ijebu Igbo, today warmly received officials of the Nigeria Civil Defence Corps and So Safe Corps at his palace in Itowo, Oke Sopen.
The visit included the official presentation of a patrol van to the Civil Defence Corps, led by CSC Omitogun Hakeem, Divisional Officer, and SC Temitope Ali, 2IC, Ijebu North Area Command.
The So Safe Corps, led by DC Ayodele Badejo JP of the Ijebu Igbo Area Command, also participated in the engagement.
During the visit, the corps officials brought to the attention of Kabiyesi the pressing challenge of inadequate water supply.
In response, Oba Sopen pledged to install a borehole to alleviate their water needs, demonstrating his continued commitment to the welfare of both the security personnel and the community.
The visiting officials expressed their gratitude to Kabieyesi for his support, guidance and the earlier provision of office facilities for their operations in the town.
In turn, Oba Dr. Mufutau Adesesan Yusuf thanked the corps for their dedication, honor and unwavering love for Oke Sopen, affirming the importance of their partnership in ensuring the town’s safety and development.
The event underscored a strong collaboration between traditional leadership and security agencies in fostering community development and enhancing public safety in Oke Sopen Ijebu Igbo.
