There is palpable fear among the residents of Ikoyi-Ile town in Oyo State over an alleged plan to attack the town by suspected bandits.
Ikoyi-Ile is one of the towns in the Oriire local government area, the same local government area where five people were killed a few days ago.
Some gunmen suspected to be bandits opened fire and killed five people at the old Oyo National Park located at Oloka village in Oriire local government area on Tuesday.
The latest information coming out revealed that the suspected bandits had allegedly informed the residents that they would attack the town on Tuesday, 20 January this year.
The latest information was contained in two different notes allegedly written by the bandits.
