2026 Ramadan Cup Kicks Off Today Hosted by Ijebu Igbo Grassroots Sports Initiative with Thrilling Matches

The 2026 Ramadan Cup Kick off today with two exciting matches, showcasing thrilling goals and brilliant performances from the players.
Ijebu Igbo Grassroots Sports Initiative (IIGSI Global) RC: 9275524, a duly registered and government-recognized organization committed to youth development through sports.
Their goal is to discover and nurture young talents, promote unity, discipline and healthy living and reduce social vices within Ijebu Igbo and its surrounding communities.
In the first match, Simple FC faced Egbe FC. Simple FC dominated the game from start to finish. Moruf Goriola opened the scoring in the first half, followed by goals from Adekanbi Tallest, Moses Tobiloba, and Osungboye Gbolahan, as Simple FC ran out 5-0 winners. Moses Tobiloba was named Man of the Match for his outstanding performance.
The second match saw Bombola FC take on Aleke FC. Aleke FC initially took the lead through Adebola Olamilekan, but Musibau Segun equalized and then put Bombola FC ahead.
Despite being reduced to 10 men after Olaiya Olufemi received a red card, Bombola FC were unstoppable. Goals from Emmanuel John, Ogunali Sodiq and Gbenga Obilaja helped them secure a massive 6-1 victory. John Emmanuel was awarded Man of the Match for his brilliant contribution.
Both matches highlighted skill, determination, and sportsmanship, making today’s Ramadan Cup fixtures unforgettable for fans and players alike.
