The Kwankwasiyya Movement has instructed its members nationwide to register with the African Democratic Congress (ADC), following a major political decision by its leadership.
In a statement issued on Saturday, the Movement’s spokesperson, Dr Habibu Sale Mohammed, disclosed that its National Leader, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, has finalised plans to align with a coalition aimed at unseating President Bola Tinubu.
According to the statement, Kwankwaso is scheduled to formally register with the ADC on Monday, March 30, 2026, at his residence, Gidan Kwankwasiyya, Miller Road, Kano, by 12 p.m.
The Movement subsequently directed all its members across the country to immediately commence registration with the party at their respective ward, local government, and state levels, while also urging them to actively participate in party activities.
The statement described the move as a strategic step taken in the interest of the Movement, its supporters, and the nation, stressing its commitment to democratic values, good governance, and national development.
It further emphasised the need to protect democracy and uphold the will of the people, noting that the Kwankwasiyya Movement remains united and focused on building a more inclusive Nigeria.
