The revered traditional ruler of Ilaporu, Alaporu of Ilaporu, Oba Jimoh Adebamiro Quadri, has passed away at the age of 87.
According to early reports, the monarch died after a brief illness. His passing marks the end of an era for the people of Ilaporu and the wider Ijebu community, where he was widely respected for his leadership, wisdom and dedication to the development of his domain.
