Lagos State Govt Deploys 1,710 Public Toilets to Eliminate Open Defecation Across the State

The Lagos State Government has commenced the deployment of 1,710 public toilets across the state as part of its aggressive campaign to eradicate open defecation.
The initiative, which is already underway, aims to provide accessible and hygienic sanitation facilities in public spaces, markets, motor parks, and high-density residential areas.
According to the state government, the massive deployment of toilets is a key component of its environmental and public health strategy to improve sanitation and protect residents from sanitation-related diseases.
The move has been welcomed by many Lagosians, who described it as a bold and practical step towards making Lagos a cleaner and healthier city.
