The Ijebu North chapter of the Theatre Arts and Motion Pictures Practitioners Association of Nigeria (TAMPAN) recently celebrated its anniversary in grand style at Rolatex Hotel, Ijebu Igbo.
At the event, Hon. Adeniyi Olamilekan Ogunyemi was honoured with the title of Olori Odo (Youth Leader) of the TAMPAN Ijebu North branch.
He received the award alongside popular Nollywood actor, Prince Olowolayemo Obakese, who was also recognised with the title of Tayese Itage of TAMPAN Ijebu North.
The celebration attracted several notable figures from the Nollywood industry, including veteran actor Dele Odule and many others, adding glamour to the occasion.
Speaking through the recognition, the award highlights Adeniyi Ogunyemi’s dedication, integrity and consistent efforts in supporting grassroots development and the entertainment sector within Ijebu North.
Ijebu North Local Government TAMPAN comprises several wards, including Atikori, Oke-Agbo, Ojowo/Japara, Oke-Sopen, Ome, Oru-Awa-Ilaporu, Osun, Ago-Iwoye Urban I & II, Ako-Onigbagbo Gelete and Mamu/Ehin-Etiri.
Following the announcement, congratulatory messages have continued to pour in from supporters and residents across the region, celebrating the well-deserved honour and expressing confidence in his continued service to the community.
The event stands as a testament to the vibrant cultural and artistic contributions of TAMPAN in promoting theatre and film development at the grassroots level.
