The Oke Agbo Muslim Community in Ijebu Igbo, Ijebu North Local Government Area, recently paid a courtesy visit to the Ijebu Igbo Area Command as part of efforts to strengthen community relations and promote peace and security.
The delegation, led by prominent leaders of the Muslim community, was warmly received by officers of the Area Command. During the visit, discussions focused on fostering mutual cooperation, enhancing security awareness, and encouraging continuous collaboration between residents and law enforcement agencies.
Speaking on behalf of the community, the leaders emphasized the importance of unity, peaceful coexistence, and active support for security agencies in maintaining law and order within the area. They also pledged the community’s commitment to promoting harmony among residents, irrespective of religious or ethnic differences.
In response, the Ijebu Igbo Area Commander, ACP Bukoye Oyegbemi appreciated the gesture, describing it as timely and commendable. They reiterated the police’s dedication to protecting lives and property, while urging community members to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities.
The visit concluded with prayers for peace, stability, and continued development in Ijebu Igbo and its environs, as both parties reaffirmed their shared responsibility in building a safer society.
