The Executive Chairman of Ijebu North Local Government, Hon. (Dr.) Omobolaji Odusanya, has received officers of the Nigeria Correctional Academy, Ijebu-Igbo, during a courtesy visit to the council secretariat.
The delegation, led by CSC Ogunbowale Taiwo, visited the chairman after the successful completion of the 8th CSC Development Course 2026 by senior officers of the Nigeria Correctional Service drawn from different parts of the country.
Speaking during the visit, Hon. Odusanya congratulated the officers on completing the professional course and earning promotions. He described their achievement as a reflection of their hard work, discipline and commitment to serving the nation.
The council chairman also praised the Nigeria Correctional Service for its efforts in reforming and rehabilitating inmates, as well as maintaining security across the country. He said the service remains an important institution in promoting public safety and national development.

Hon. Odusanya reaffirmed the commitment of the Ijebu North Local Government to working closely with the Nigeria Correctional Service on programmes that will improve security, community development and the well-being of residents.
The highlight of the visit was the presentation of the Meritorious Award of Excellence in Security Management and Exemplary Leadership to Hon. Odusanya by participants of the 8th CSC Development Course 2026.

The award was presented in recognition of his contributions to security, quality leadership and grassroots governance.
While receiving the honour, Hon. Odusanya dedicated the award to the people of Ijebu North Local Government. He thanked the officers for the recognition and pledged to continue implementing policies and programmes that will promote peace, security and sustainable development across the council area.
